Church Mouse:  The Church Mouse is all dressed up for Fall!  Be sure to come by and check our new merchandise.  Our buyers are always busy looking for nice things for your shopping pleasure.  We're also busy gearing up for Flower Festival when we'll have our Christmas Mouse, Fashion Mouse and Gourmet Mouse all decked out for you.  Don't forget, the more you spend the more funds we are able to give to the Women of St. Andrews' for our Outreach Programs.

St. Andrew’s Cook-in:  The next cook-in will be on Sunday, September 19 at 8:30 in the Kitchen/White Hall.  Please see signup sheet on “Outreach Ministry” bulletin board in the hallway next to the Parish Office.

Welcome Back Sunday - September 12th - will take place after the 10:15 service.  There will be a coffee reception and an opportunity to sign your children up for Sunday School.  In addition we will have a Church Activities Fair to show you many of the ministries, committees, and activities that help to support and drive the church.  Please plan on joining us - learn about your church and how you can use your talents in helping to meet our goals.  Keep in mind:  Your talent is God's gift to you; what you do with it is your gift to God.  (Leo Buscaglia We look forward to seeing you there!

St. Andrew's Prayer Shawl Ministry:  The Prayer Shawl Ministry was begun at St. Andrew’s by Tiffany Plomgren and Mavis Benz in 2008.  The first group of shawls was ready for delivery by Christmas of that year and the recipient of the first shawl was Rev. Cathy McKinney, our former interim Rector.  Since that time, close to 30 additional shawls have been given to church members and friends of church members.  If you know of someone in need of a prayer shawl, please contact Deane Sobol, Mavis Benz (White) or the Pastoral Care Ministry Team through Dennis Sipes Knitting A Prayer Shawl

St. Andrew’s Blood Drive:  Please mark your calendars.  The St. Andrew’s Church sponsored blood drive is on September 8th from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  Volunteer sign-up sheets will be in White Hall.  Donor sign-up sheets will be in White Hall beginning August 15th.  Plan on being a hero to someone – is there any better feeling?

Annual Book Sale:  Just a reminder that we will also be having a book sale on September 25th.  Please bring items for the book sale and also place outside of Dennis’ office.

Volunteers are needed for the Book Sale, September 25th/26th and Bella’s Boutique during the Flower Festival.  Sign-up sheets showing the activities and times volunteers are needed may be found in White Hall.  Details of the items needed:  BellaBooksaleinfo-rev

St. Andrew’s Angel Corner:  Please check out the Angel Corner (items that B&G would like to get for the church which are not in this year’s budget) found on the bulletin board in hallway leading to White Hall (across from the Ladies and Men’s bathrooms).

2010 Flower Festival Bakery:  Please start baking your favorite treats for this year Flower Festival soon (and a little extra if you can).  Last year everything was sold out on Friday of the Opening Gala.  This year we are trying to make sure we have enough for Friday and Saturday.  We have plenty of room in the church freezer to store your items.

                        St. Andrew's Mission Statement

St. Andrew’s is a parish of worship, spiritual growth, acceptance and healing centered in the Eucharist. We reach beyond ourselves, striving to allow God to work through our hands as Christ’s own. In our role as stewards of God’s gifts we embrace a comprehensive concept of stewardship as central to our ministry. As a place of hope for all people, we celebrate with joy through grace our oneness in Christ.
