Eucharistic Visitors and Pastoral Care Team

These are two fledgling ministries at St. Andrew's. Following Communion at the 10:15 liturgy, one or two Eucharistic Visitors-- trained, licensed, and commissioned to take the Reserved Sacrament to those unable to attend services--come to the altar to receive a kit containing the consecrated bread and wine. They then go directly to the home of the person we have remembered in the Prayers of the People that day. In this way we celebrate our oneness in Christ, as together we are fed and strengthened by his life. St. Andrew's Pastoral Care Team has grown out of and helps extend the ministry of the Companions. This group is commissioned to visit people in the parish, especially during times of sickness, bereavement, the birth of a baby, and other life changes. Learn more...
