Flower Guild
The Flower Guild uses flowers to the glory of God, to enhance our worship, to reach out within and beyond our church with the beauty and blessing of flowers, and to provide on-going education and training for our Guild and interested parish members.
The Flower Guild buys and arranges flowers for Sunday services, holidays, weddings, and funerals. Contributions for flowers "in honor of" or "in memory of" someone are always appreciated. Members of the Guild arrange flowers for the altars. Following the Sunday liturgies, the flowers from the high altar are delivered to the sick and shut-ins of our parish.
Flower Guild Policy
- Flowers are on the altars except during Advent and Lent, when only greens are used.
- Flower charts for Sundays are posted outside the Flower Room. Sign up as early in the year as you can to ensure you reserve the Sunday you would like. There are two altars available each week: the High Altar and the Lady Altar.
- Flowers can be given not only for memorials, but in honor of birthdays, baptisms, weddings, anniversaries, and other special occasions.
